Pros & Cons
When using the Proform 505 CST Treadmill for the first time, one of the first things you will notice is the treadmill’s impressive set of workout apps. The workouts are powered by Google Maps and this treadmill comes loaded with training programs developed by professional trainer Jillian Michaels with automatic speed and incline controls.
Users can customize fitness programs, draw their own course, or choose from one of the many options available. Programs can be uploaded to iFit and be managed and developed directly from the console which allows a lot of control over your workouts.
This treadmill is great for people who are more on the heavy as it can sustain as much as 300 pounds of weight. Running on this treadmill is very smooth and its sturdy construction makes it very stable.
The Proform 505 CST has a compatible music port for iPods and a built-in sound system. The treadmill also has a very compact design and its 20”x50” frame makes it a real space saver. We were also impressed at how quiet this machine was, which is great for people who want to train at any hour of the day without disturbing anyone.
Another great thing about the Proform 505 CST treadmill is how easy it is to assemble. As a matter of fact, it only took us about 2 hours to complete the assembly of this unit. And it is also one of the most affordably priced units in its category.
The most common complaint people had about this treadmill was that it was a bit confusing to use at first. The numerous workout programs and options may take a long time to master, and navigating trough the many options can be difficult at times.
One more thing about this treadmill is that it is deceivingly heavy. Despite its compact size, this unit weighs about 300 pounds, which could be an issue for some people. Although it is made to fold up into a closet space, it will most likely take at least two people to move the treadmill.
Another common consumer complaint about this treadmill was that the cup holders were not designed correctly. Many consumers found that a normal sized water bottle would not fit into the cup holder. However, this is an issue that can be easily avoided by using smaller bottles.
Besides these few minor issues, most people had great things to say about this treadmill.
So, is the Proform 505 CST Treadmill a good choice for you? Well, if you’re the type of person that enjoys a wide variety of programs and want to be able to customize your workouts, then you should be pleased with this treadmill.
The price is reasonable compared to other models with similar features, which is great if you’re on a budget, but still want to enjoy gym quality training.
This treadmill was designed specifically for users who want to enjoy interactive and varied workouts. It is also great for beginners who are getting serious about their workouts and want to take their training to the next level. All in all, the Proform 505 CST treadmill is a very highly praised piece of equipment and comes highly recommended.
